These are the Fossil Q Venture, the LG Watch Sport, the Louis Vuitton Tambour, the Michael Kors Sofie and the Montblanc Summit.

After the release of Android 8.1, Google has also begun distributing the Oreo version for Android Wear . The latest update of Google’s operating system for wearables is now available in five smartwatches after a brief beta program.

According to 9to5Google , the five smart watches in which Android Wear Oreo 8.0 is released are the Fossil Q Venture , the LG Watch Sport , the Louis Vuitton Tambour , the Michael Kors Sofie and the Montblanc Summit .

That is, apart from the LG Watch Sport, which was one of the devices that participated in the beta program, the first models that obtain the update correspond to three brands of luxury watches and only one specialized in smartwatches .

In addition to these five devices, Google announced the list of upcoming smart watches that will receive the update. In total, 25 smartwatches from brands such as Casio, Fossil, Huawei, Michael Kors, Polar or TAG Heuer.

The Android Wear update is fundamentally technical, although there are also a few interesting new features . For example, Android Wear Oreo 8.0 adds notification supportthat provides more detailed control over application alerts.

To prolong battery life, there is a “Battery Saving” feature that can now be changed manually in the configuration. Users can now also control the vibration of the notifications, as well as deactivate activation with a touch with “Touch lock” .

Finally Android Wear also extends to seven new countries and languages with this launch: El Salvador, Honduras and Paraguay in Spanish; Nigeria in English, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Belgium (in Flemish).
