The company announced in the framework of Huawei Connect that will have more than 150,000 professionals specialized in Cloud and TIC in 2021.
Huawei has unveiled its latest business services strategy, designed to support enterprises in their migration to the cloud , during Huawei Connect 2017 in Shanghai . Huawei’s commitment to becoming a cloud service leader and strategic partner for enterprises will be sustained by a $ 500 million investment in the development of professional cloud-based services , as well as a cloud platform and ecosystem.
Sun Maolu, chairman of the Technical Service department of the Business Unit of Companies, said: ” We are entering the era of ‘single cloud’ for which Huawei is adopting a long-term Cloud transformation services strategy with goal of making their customers transition more comfortably. Our services strategy focuses on the concept of ‘Grow with the Cloud’ and on being the best in this sector .
Increased investment of 50%
To further this strategy, Huawei will continue to invest in the development of service solutions and Global Service Centers (GSCs) as well as tools, platforms and verification laboratories for professional services. Over the next five years, the company will also focus on Cloud R & D , increasing its annual investment by more than 50%. On the other hand, to meet the enterprise demand for ICT training in the cloud era, Huawei will offer a new certification plan for the training of architects, developers and ICT experts. It is expected that in 2021 there will be more than 150,000 cloud and ICT professionals trained with Huawei.
Huawei will focus on R & D in Cloud, increasing its annual investment by more than 50%
In this regard, Huawei has already established a planning and design verification laboratory in China, a disaster recovery and migration laboratory, a safe cities verification center and a financial services verification center in Beijing, Shenzhen and Chengdu. These facilities enable integrated testing and verification of service and new technology solutions, joint innovation and verification of services with partners. This will accelerate the launch of new solutions reducing the technical risk of Cloud transformation for customers.
Huawei also works with leading independent software vendors(ISV) to promote an industry ecosystem, delivering comprehensive cloud service capabilities across industry-wide infrastructure, platforms and cloud applications to help customers across industries to migrate to the cloud and accelerate, thus, its digital transformation.
Business services in 170 countries
Huawei Enterprise Service has established a Global Service Center (GSC) in China, Romania and Mexico and 12 technical assistance centers around the world . These 15 centers serve 24/7 to more than 170 countries. These services include technical support, remote network operation, remote delivery, and marketing and channel support.
Huawei’s cloud services reached more than 18,000 customers last year. To date, 197 Fortune Global 500 companies and 45 of the top 100 companies in the world have chosen Huawei as their partner for digital transformation.
