The Chinese giant will be the first Asian cloud provider to operate in the cloud hub of Frankfurt.
Tencent Cloud has said it will launch its first European hub in the Frankfurt data center of Interxion , the provider specializing in hosting services in neutral datacenters.
The advance of global demand for cloud services is making companies look for reliable and cost-effective solutions to expand and migrate to the cloud .
“We at Tencent have focused on investing and improving our cloud capabilities abroad to meet the growing demand for reliable and secure cloud options ,” said Wang Huixing, vice president of Tencent Cloud .
It will be the first node of Tencet Cloud in Europe and will increase the availability zones of Tencent Cloud in the world until reaching 34 in total, covering now mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Europe, Canada and the USA.
“Our plan is to deploy six new regions and 15 availability zones globally this year , making Tencent Cloud one of the fastest growing cloud service providers in Asia.”
In the case of Interxion, the company will help provide a high-quality user experience to meet Tencent’s growing demand for cloud services, particularly from online gaming, financial services, video streaming and other Internet sectors.
