Reaches 146 inches and comes with light-emitting LEDs on a micrometric scale.

During the celebration of its First Look event, within the framework of the CES , Samsung has presented its news in terms of televisions, starting with “The Wall”.

“The Wall” is a 146-inch TV that stands out as the first MicroLED modular television . That is, it comes with micrometric-scale LED technology, much smaller than the current ones and capable of producing light on their own. This avoids the use of color filters and backlight panels.

As explained by Samsung, it delivers “an incredible definition without restrictions of size, resolution or form”.

By presenting a design without bevel that is based on modules, it facilitates the personalization of the television according to the needs of size and shape of each consumer.

“At Samsung, we are committed to offering consumers a wide range of experiences through cutting-edge screens. The world’s first modular MicroLED consumer television, ‘The Wall’, represents another breakthrough, “says Jonghee Han, president of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business. “It can adapt to any size and offers a brightness, a range of colors, a volume of color and black levels that are truly incredible.”

In addition to this TV, Samsung has announced the first QLED television with 8K AI technology and enhanced connection functions for Smart TVs, including Bixby, SmartThings and Universal Guide .
