According to IDC data, last year almost 4 out of 10 servers came from outside Western Europe.
Much of the infrastructure they use in their data centers in Western Europe the service providers from abroad.
In particular, IDC reveals that 38% of the servers purchased last year for these data centers came from outside the region . Fundamentally they came from the United States and Asia, where they have their multinational headquarters that operate in Europe.
The largest users of servers in 2016 were managed service providers and systems integrators , which together accounted for 29% of consumption in Western Europe. With 22% they are followed by hyperscale providers , that is, companies such as Google, Amazon Web Services and Facebook.
The consultancy that offers all these data also reveals that the original design manufacturers are leaders in the hyperscale market.
