The Xperia XZ1, with a screen of 5.2 inches, and the Xperia XZ1 Compact, of 4.6 inches, will arrive in autumn, with prices of 699 and 549 euros, respectively.
Sony is one of the classics of the fair IFA . This year, the Japanese company has focused its presentation on the two new members of its range of smartphones Xperia . This is the new Sony Xperia XZ1 and its reduced version, the XZ1 Compact.
Both models have the strong point in the camera , although unlike the current trend, Sony has not bet on the dual camera but by megapixels and software. Thus, the Xperia XZ1 has a main camera of 19 megapixels, with the Capture Predictive function for moments and smiles. When activated this function can capture up to four images in the seconds before the photo.
In addition, the main camera features Super Slow Motion to capture scenes at 960 fps and autofocus burst in combination with a hybrid predictive focus. This allows you to take up to 10 images in a row. As for the front camera, it has a 13 megapixel sensor to make high quality selfies.
Another interesting aspect is the 3D Creator technology from Sony to capture objects in three dimensions. It has four different modes, to scan a face in 180 degrees, a head in 360 degrees, food and free forms. Thanks to 3D Creator it is possible to use the mobile to create avatars for augmented reality services and even to take models to print with a 3D printer.
Regarding the screen , 5.2 inches and resolution FHD, moves the technology Bravia of the Japanese company to the mobile universe. It also integrates HDR to get images with more detail and color depth. The audio is well covered, with high-resolution stereo speakers and digital noise cancellation of up to 98%. It incorporates DSEE HX technology, which adds information where it has been lost by file compression.
The design stands out by keeping the frames on the screen and by its rounded edges. The Xperia XZ1 has a unibody metal body that meets the IP68 standard for water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass 2.5 screen protector.
Other features include the Qualcomm 835 processor, with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, the 2,700 mAh battery and the side footprint sensor. The operating system is the latest version of Android 8.0 Oreo .
The small version of Sony’s flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ1 Compact , has a 4.6-inch screen and HD resolution, with an 8-core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 2,700 mAh battery. Maintains the main camera of his older brother.
The Xperia XZ1 will start selling in September in four colors – Black, Warm Silver, Moonlit Blue and Venus Pink -, with a price of 699 euros . As for the Xperia XZ1 Compact, will be available in October for 549 euros .
The third smartphone shown today by Sony in Berlin is the Xperia XA1 Plus .
